Hi, I am Emily...

I started taking pictures in high school. I am not sure if I was driven by a passion or by the fact that I got to roam the halls and stand on the football field during games. Whatever the reason, I can't imagine doing anything else. In college I was lucky enough to go on Semester at Sea where I traveled the world. I was in heaven. For many of our port stops I imagined myself as a National Geographic photographer. And as a 22-year-old I couldn't have been happier. After college I started working with newspapers in Phoenix as a photojournalist. Once again I was over-the-moon excited with my career choice! I used to wear my East Valley Tribune press pass like a badge of honor. The first few weeks I would 'forget' to take it off after a shoot and go out still wearing it. I love meeting and being around the lovely people I photograph. I have made life-long friends and feel great knowing my artwork is part of their life.

I'll leave you with a few personal details. Hoover, my dog is my buddy and the best ready to shoot model I have ever worked with. I love being outside and love hiking, running and having a glass of wine on any patio. And I am completely smitten with my nieces and nephews. You should see them. They are adorable. You would be smitten, too.
